I’ve been using it with some frequency – both in enclosed waters and outside and have to say that overall I’m very pleased.
I’ve been out in some reasonably challenging conditions as well as in the calm and it performs well. The boat feels very stable and was not troubled even by the biggest sets that came through. The 70hp engine pushes it along quite nicely and yet will idle very quietly and comfortably making slow trolling very effective.
Even though its only 4.85m it feels like there’s plenty of space and two can fish very comfortably – three is fine with a little organisation. The engine is also pretty fuel efficient. Day trips around the bay can comfortably be done on a tank. The boat nips along at around 62kmh on flat water.
It’s small enough for one person to handle easily however its comfortably robust enough to feel safe when conditions get rough.
I’m very pleased with this purchase and am having considerable fun with my new boat – it has opened up many new fishing options for me. I would definitely choose the same model and engine again – I might even look at going bigger next time!

We're very happy with the boat and trailer. The SunRunner is roomy and stable, very comfortable and we enjoy it riding in it very much. Certainly no problems with the fitout - compared to a lot of aluminium boats of similar size that we see at the ramp, the Horizon product holds it's own and quite a few people have said that it offers far better value for money than the more well known manufacturer. Of course, being aluminium, it's a bit noisier in chop than our previous fibreglass boats - but it is softer riding.

I also want to complement you, Doug & your wife for being such a pleasure to deal with. One of the reasons I persued the private second hand boat market for as long as I did is that I didn't want to deal with slippery boat salesmen. Well you guys were light years away from that perception. So thank you for being such a pleasure to deal with.

The boat is going great!!! nice and easy to start, handle and use the fish finder is also excellent quality. The outboard is quiet and fuel efficient. It is a great fishing vessel and also a more pleasant boat to ride in than my previous boat was .. being lighter and so easy to move around on makes a big difference in all aspects (fishing, having the family on board, mooring, etc)
